8 members from the same family attempt suicide, 7 die

In a tragic incident, eight members of the same family in Madurai reportedly attempted suicide in which seven passed away. According to media reports, they committed suicide by consuming poison over financial issues. Neighbors of the family allegedly suspected their suicide attempt as the door was locked from inside. Four of them reportedly died on the spot; four were taken to hospital in critical condition in which three died in the hospital.
